Hong Kong Visa Information
Those who would like to pay a visit to Hong Kong must have a passport that is valid for six months or more after the projected date of departure from Hong Kong. Holders of British national passports do not require an entry permit or visa and can stay in Hong Kong for up to 180 days. All other citizens of the EU, as well as those of Canada, Israel, the United States of America, Australia, and New Zealand are allowed to stay in Hong Kong for up to 90 days. Indian citizens’ stays are restricted to 14 days, and South Africans can be in Hong Kong for no more than 30 days.
If visitors wish to remain in Hong Kong for more than the number of days allotted to them by the requirements applied to their country, they must apply for a visa. Citizens of certain other countries and people holding “stateless person” documents are also required to have a visa to visit Hong Kong.
